About Me

Eng. Fatma Ahmad Bazargan is currently pursuing her Doctor of Computer Security Engineering (PhD) degree at Khalifa University. 2nd year PhD candidate.

Her subject matter expertise and research interests lies in: Security Research & Analysis, Information Security Management, Network Security, Virtualization Security and Cloud Computing Security.

Miss Bazargan has a total of 8 years industrial hands-on experience in the field of her expertise. Some of the positions she held were: an Information Technology Security Manager at Masdar where she was responsible to develop an overall Master Security Plan for Masdar City. Additionally, she also managed the Security Research and Analysis section at the UAE National Computer Emergency Response Team (aeCERT) and she is recognized as the aeCERT Founder.

She also holds the highly renowned certification of the Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) ever since May 2006 with good standing, SANS GCIH, and other technical certifications.

Occasionally, Miss Bazargan speaks in various symposia nationally, regionally and internationally in fields of her subject matter expertise.

Eng. Fatma has earned her Masters of Science Degree in Computer Systems Security with Merit from the University of Glamorgan, UK in 2004 and holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Computer Engineering from the American University of Sharjah, UAE in 2002. She is also about to earn her Executive Masters in Business Administration (EMBA)  from Zayed University, UAE by January 2012.
